Also, in the July 2014 revision of the "Guideline to the Mineral Spring Analysis Methods", the indications and contraindications were also renewed.
To put it simply, the previous "Experience-based viewpoint" has been replaced by a "Scientific viewpoint".
The indications and contraindications for hot springs include "General indications/contraindications" and "Indications/contraindications by spring quality. And the "General indications/contraindications" are applicable to all hot springs.
As the name implies, "Indications/contraindications by spring quality" differ depending on the type of spring, so you can better understand the character of a hot spring by looking at these.
In addition, the indications and contraindications are divided into "for bathing" and "for drinking".

(Note) A refers to the weight (mg) of each component contained in 1 kg of hot spring water. The specific amount of hot spring water to be consumed should be calculated and stated based on the weight of each component. However, "The total daily amount of hot spring drinking should be limited to approximately 200-500 mL". When the specific limit is 500 mL or more, the daily drinking amount of the hot spring is exceeded, and therefore, no contraindication is required to be listed. |
